CONTRACTING RATES & ARRANGEMENTS

Contract Types & Options

There are numerous ways to engage contractors:

Under Your Banner:

We find and employ the person to you at a fixed rate. There’s an attached single fee at the start of their working, and no on-going fees. They become your employee, and you handle payroll tax, superannuation, insurances and the like.

Under The Mercuras Banner:

In this case, we handle payroll tax, superannuation, indemnity & insurances, workers compensation, timesheets etc and you just let us know duration and costings each week or month.

Addendum:

Whatever way you go, whatever company you use, just make sure you understand explicitly each and every charge that will be levied for a contractor. All too often a consultancy will quote a rate of “10%” only to add on charges after an agreement has been reached, and costs start to soar, and the real cost is approaching 30% or more!
